Custom performance formulas in BSC Designer

What is a performance formula?

  • Custom performance formulas are available only in the PRO version

Access custom formulas dialog

  • Select indicator, use Custom Formula button in indicator's properties to access custom formulas dialog.

Design custom formulas

The performance value of the indicator in BSC Designer is calculated according to several values:

  • Current value

  • Measurement interval (max and min values)

By default, the measurement function in BSC Designer is a linear function:

In the PRO version, it is possible to use mathematical expressions to modify the function and make it non-linear (below is the the performance chart for formula =(sin(Score/mx*2.5) - mn) / (mx - mn) ):

Building a custom formula

You can use the following variables in the formula:

  • mn - min value of the measure interval

  • mx - max value of the measure interval

  • score - current score for the indicator

To access the available functions, click the "Function" button.

Use the "Formula" button to access other performance functions for the project.
